Grace Lutheran is home to many different ministries both inside our church walls and outside. Below you can find a list of some of our ministries. If you have any questions about these ministries or would like to be involved, please contact the church office.
Caring Cooks
The Grace Lutheran Caring Cooks prepare meals for members of our church and community who could use some lovingly prepared home-cooked food. Anyone can come and help cook, all are welcome!
Outreach committee
The Grace Lutheran Outreach Committee spear-heads a lot of our ministries including the Christmas Bear Tree (which donates Christmas gifts to our community), fundraisers for the Lexington Parent-Child center and foodbank, as well as providing welcome gifts to visitors.
Meals-On Wheels
A dedicated group of Grace's Members deliver meals on wheels to the Lexington Community
God's Work - Our Hands Sunday
Once a year Grace, as well as most of the ELCA, spends an entire Sunday devoted to service in our community as part of "God's Work - Our Hands". Last year we spent time cleaning streets as part of the "Keep Lex Beautiful" campaign; helping clean, landscape, and paint the Lexington Parent-Child Center; writing letters to the soldiers that are part of our congregation who are actively serving; and going door to door in our neighborhood helping our neighbors in whatever way we could!
Fellowship
Fellowship and spending time enjoying each other's company is an important part of the life in Christ. Our Fellowship team organizes events so the church can come together and have fun. Past events include movie nights, bowling, and Husker viewing parties.
