Season After Pentecost Worship Theme
= The Roots of Our Faith
Several people have mentioned they want to revisit the
basics of our faith as Lutheran Christians. So…we’re going back to our roots
this summer! It’s a very appropriate
theme for the Time After Pentecost, which focuses on
growing in our faith.
As a visual reminder of this, we’ll replant the pots in the
front of the church. In fact, they’ll be bare on the weekend of the 13th
& 14th. If you’d like to give financially to replacing the
plants (it’s past time…), just put a check in the offering plate or send it to
the office with “New Plants” in the memo! We’ll grow or add new plants up front
through the summer.
Please feel free to bring a vase of cut flowers from your
garden to share in worship, too, as a reminder of growing in our faith!
Communion Around the Altar – Beginning on the weekend
of June 13/14 and continuing through the summer, we’ll gather around the altar
for communion as a reminder of how we’re all united in the Body of Christ. The ushers
will guide the congregation through this change from our usual Pilgrim Style of
continuous communion.
May the Spirit blow through our worship this summer,
inspiring you to deeper faith and trust in the God of life and resurrection!
May your roots grow deep into the love of Christ!
