Wednesdays in Lent: “By My Hand? … For My Sake!” ~ 6:00 p.m. Supper &
7:00 p.m. Worship – What is your role in the suffering and death of Christ? Week by week we’ll hear from those personally involved in the events of Jesus’ suffering and crucifixion.
Week by week we’ll reflect on how we’re personally involved, too.

We’ll use Prayers Around the Cross, music from Taize’ and dramatic monologues from each of the characters for our midweek services. Come for a light supper and fellowship, and then food for your soul!
The Lenten supper on Wednesday will be served by the Mission Board. Lasagna is the mail course.

Lex Ministerial Association Lenten Lunches – Once again, LMA congregations will host a lunch and devotions at noon on Thursdays during Lent. It’s a great break in the day for focus and fellowship around God’s gift to us in Christ!

“One Year To Live” Men’s Retreat
The Lutheran Men in Mission of the Nebraska Synod are sponsoring a One Year To Live Men’s Retreat to be held March 23-25, 2012, at Camp Rivercrest in Fremont.
It’s a “spiritual boot camp” led by lay men and is intended for all men looking to find God’s purpose for them in life. Registration is $195 per person, which includes two nights lodging, five meals, student materials. Registration deadline is March 9, 2012. Registration flyer: lutheranmeninmission.org.

Dawson Chapter #33, Order of the Eastern Star will hold their annual Aebleskiver Brunch on Sunday, February 19 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Masonic Center, 9th and Washington Streets. Tickets may be purchased at the door. Adults – $4.00 and children 12 and under – $2.00

Lexington Boy Scout Troop 88 and the Knights of Columbus will host a pancake breakfast on Sunday, Mar. 4 at Saint Ann Catholic Church from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the church basement (enter via the southwest door of the church). A free-will offering will be accepted. Proceeds help support scout activities and service projects throughout the year. Funds will also go toward the troop’s trip to summer camp.
