Each year we try to "Bear Christ's love to others" by picking an ornament off our Bear Tree at Christmas time, purchasing gifts which are then delivered to the agency/people we're helping. In 2007 our gifts helped the clients of the Lexington Parent Child Center.
Caroling in the Barn
Annual event with wagon rides in the snow, Christmas crafts for kids, nativity animals, warm soup, great fellowship, caroling, the Christmas story from Luke 2, prayer and a great start to the Advent/Christmas season! All in a beautiful, old, REAL (but slightly heated) barn!
Chili Challenge
Annual cook-off combined with the Pie Auction to raise funds for our youth summer mission trips. This year (2008) we'll head to Ocean Springs Mississippi to do Katrina Relief! Last year, we
helped bring hope after the devastating tornadoes in Greensburg, KS.
Coffee Fellowship after Worship
We gather for coffee and goodies and informal talking and laughing in our lobby/narthex area while sipping tea or Free Trade Coffee from real coffee mugs!
Crop Walk / ELCA World Hunger
The Annual Community Crop Walk raises funds for hunger relief in our local community and around the world. Grace members have been regular participants. ELCA World Hunger is how the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America addresses chronic hunger and poverty around the corner and around the world.
Lenten Suppers
The Wednesday Lenten suppers are delicious and our free-will donations to local causes such as The Welcome Center or our homeless shelter, Haven House. Lenten offerings go to support the Lexington Maternal Health Clinic.
Relay for Life
Grace has had a Relay for Life Team for years! Dawson County annually raises over 100,000 for cancer research at the Relay every year!
Stand With Africa
Stand With Africa is a campaign that supports African churches and communities as they withstand AIDS, banish hunger, and build peace. Join Lutheran World Relief, the ELCA World Hunger Program and the LCMS World Relief in a campaign of hope.
Al-Anon
For family of people struggling with alcohol use. A support group meets at Grace on Friday mornings. Contact the church office for more information.

Grace Lutheran Preschool
Monday through Friday the church is alive with the sounds of children! Since 1978, Grace has offered the community of Lexington a quality, developmentally appropriate preschool. Our preschool is open to children of all faiths and encourages children ages 3, 4 and 5 to develop their own individual and unique skills and talents. Our preschool is in session during the school year. For information on enrolling in a class, contact the church office.
Grace Lutheran Sunday School
Sundays at 9 a.m. "We're doing an exciting new Sunday School program called Book WoRM! Yup, it's WoRM! That stands for Workshop Rotation Model!
It means we're going to have lots of fun together learning 7 key Stories from THE BOOK (The Bible) this year through Movies, Art, Music, Computers, Puppets, Food, Games, Drama and more! Bring a friend from preschool through 5th Grade to Book WoRM on Sundays at 9! Middle School & High School youth are serving as helpers!"
Haven House
Our local homeless shelter provides over 10,000 meals annually and houses between 20 & 30 people a month as they search for a more permanent home. Our Lenten soup suppers will support Haven House this year.
Lexington Ministerial Association
Area churches join together in mission and ministry to provide worship & Bible Study at our care centers and the Dawson County Jail, a community Thanksgiving service, community Lenten Luncheons, baccalaureate and Emergency Assistance funds to those falling through the cracks.

LFS has professional counseling services, the Maternal Health Clinic, family support services and leads The Welcome Center, all in Lexington! This state-wide network of services means there is help for hurting folks even in rural areas.

Mosaic
Mosaic cares for people across the country who have mental and physical challenges. Our Confirmation youth annually go to the Bethphage campus in Axtell, NE to meet and work with clients.
The Welcome Center
Grace has a long history of supporting efforts in the community to welcome newcomers from all over the world who come to work in Lexington. The Welcome Center is the newest shape of this ministry and provides a professional immigration specialist to assist people with U.S.C.I.S. questions, applications and information.

Worship at Plum Creek Care Center & Park Avenue Estate
As part of the Lexington Ministerial Association, we lead worship Sunday afternoons throughout the year in rotation with other churches for those who can't get to their home church.
